It Was an Experience...

On August 15th, The Andy Lampert Band had the pleasure of performing three Songs, as well as being interviewed on WARA 1320AM.  It is a public access radio station located in Attleboro, Massachusetts.  The Host was a guy who called himself: Agent 86.  He hosts a Show called Besides the B Sides or something like that.

The building was located next the Police Station.  The building was small but long.  The reason it was long is because it also housed a TV studio.  It was really cool.  Tony C was as amazed at it as I was.

We were put into the broadcast room, which had a roundish table with microphones on it.  Agent 86 was seated at the head of it (of course) and besides a microphone, he had a big computer monitor there.

Agent 86's show featured songs by artists we have all hear of, but the Song you might never hear on the radio.  He also had a good sense of humor, which was featured throughout the show.

We sang three songs, and the interview was a lot of fun.  I learned that Agent 86 isn't a Beatles fan.  I found that to be weird.

The MVP award goes to the drummer John.  He brought along an electric drum set because they didn't want it to be loud.  There was no place to plug it in, so John took two garbage pails, turned them over, and played them like bongos.  To do this, he had to stay close to the floor.  It was fun.

We are now booked to play WARA's public access TV Show in a couple of months.
